About AI TrustMark
AI TrustMark is independent verification and assurance for the AI industry, based in the United Kingdom. It checks named AI suppliers and products against evidence, then publishes what was examined and when. It is not a paid ranking, a government scheme, ISO/IEC 42001 certification or UKAS accreditation. Related-organisation work is disclosed.

The core model is simple: what the vendor can prove, plus what customers can verify, is AI TrustMark. Vendor assurance examines the organisation and, where applicable, the product. Verified customer evidence is a separate stream, with an explicit verification level on every published review.

Don't just ask AI to build it. Ask AI TrustMark to check it.
AI TrustMark is operated alongside AI Build. How the platform was developed is described in How AI Build Developed AI Trustmark. Related-organisation assessments are disclosed. Ranking-service payment buys eligibility for verified ranking, not a score or position. Assessment payment does not purchase a certificate outcome. Details are on the independence page.
A directory listing is a public record of a supplier or product. A TrustMark is a verified assessment status for a named scope. Bronze, Silver and Gold describe investigation depth, not a league table. Procurement support maps independently checked evidence to buyer requirements.
Frequently asked questions
What is AI TrustMark? AI TrustMark independently verifies evidence about AI suppliers, products and services so buyers can make more informed procurement and assurance decisions. It is not a government scheme, UKAS-accredited certification body or a paid ranking marketplace.
Is a directory listing a TrustMark? No. A listing can exist before any assessment. A TrustMark is issued only after independent examination of a named scope, and the public record states what was checked.
What is the difference between a listing, verification, Bronze/Silver/Gold and procurement support? A listing is a public record. Verification checks named evidence. Bronze, Silver and Gold describe investigation depth, not a vendor ranking. Procurement support maps independently checked evidence onto buyer requirements.
Can a supplier pay for a better result? No. Payment can fund review collection, verification labour or assessment depth, but it cannot buy review stars, directory position, a higher Assurance Score or a predetermined certificate outcome.
How is AI TrustMark independent? Related-organisation assessments, including AI Build, are disclosed and run on the same commercial terms. Ranking-service payment buys eligibility, not a score or position. Details are on the independence page.
How should buyers use AI TrustMark? Read the public record for the named product: what was examined, what remains unverified, the investigation depth and when the result expires. Use that to inform a procurement or assurance decision. Do not treat a listing, logo or paid service as a substitute for your own award decision.
