Is AI TrustMark ISO/IEC 42001 certification? No. ISO/IEC 42001 is an AI management-system standard certified by a certification body. AI TrustMark Bronze, Silver and Gold record independent investigation depth of a named organisation or product. They are an on-ramp, not a rival to ISO/IEC 42001.
Is AI TrustMark UKAS-accredited? No. UKAS accredits certification bodies. AI TrustMark is an independent UK verification record and does not sell UKAS accreditation or government approval.
Does Bronze, Silver or Gold change directory position? No. Those labels describe examination depth. Directory ranking, where it exists, is earned only from qualifying verified customer reviews. Payment never buys score, CERTIFIED, or list position.
Is Bronze a rival to BSI or UKAS? No. Bronze is the external-assurance on-ramp: what can independently be verified from outside. It is not BSI certification and not UKAS accreditation.
How does AI TrustMark relate to ISO/IEC 42001? They are complementary layers. ISO/IEC 42001 covers organisational AI management systems. AI TrustMark Assurance examines named product or supplier evidence at Bronze, Silver or Gold depth. Mapping between them is not accreditation.

How to use this in procurement
Treat AI TrustMark as reusable supplier and product evidence: what was checked, at what depth, and whether any certified assessment has recorded an Assurance Score or impact class. Do not treat a TrustMark as ISO/IEC 42001, UKAS accreditation, or AIGAS membership. Where a buyer needs an accredited management-system certificate, that remains a separate engagement with an accredited certification body.
