AI TrustMark and ISO 42001
Bronze/Silver/Gold are assessment depths. ISO/IEC 42001 is a management-system standard. They answer different questions.
ISO/IEC 42001:2023 is an international standard for an Artificial Intelligence Management System (AIMS). AI TrustMark Bronze, Silver and Gold are independent product-assurance examination depths. They are related as complementary evidence layers, not as substitutes for each other.
AI TrustMark does not reproduce the copyrighted requirements of ISO/IEC 42001 and does not issue ISO certificates.

A management-system certificate can support organisational governance questions. It does not by itself prove that a particular product is accurate, secure or suitable for your use case.
What Bronze, Silver and Gold mean
Bronze, Silver and Gold describe how deeply AI TrustMark examines evidence. They are not a league table of vendors, not purchasable favourable outcomes, and not UKAS accreditation tiers.
Payment for an assessment buys investigation depth under published rules. It does not buy a certificate result, review stars or directory position.
How buyers should use both
When a supplier presents ISO/IEC 42001 evidence:
1. Verify the certificate identity, validity and scope against the contracting entity and activities. 2. Ask how the certified management system governs the named product you are buying. 3. Collect product-level evidence separately (architecture, privacy, security, evaluation, oversight). 4. If an AI TrustMark is presented, verify it on Verify and read the assessment depth and scope.
