Granite-4.0-H-Tiny is an open-weight instruct language model from IBM's Granite team, released on 2 October 2025 under the Apache 2.0 licence. It uses a hybrid mixture-of-experts design that combines Mamba2 and attention layers, with 7 billion parameters in total of which about 1 billion are active per token, and a 128K-token context length. IBM tuned it for instruction following and tool calling, and lists summarisation, text classification and extraction, question answering, retrieval-augmented generation, code tasks, function calling, multilingual dialogue and fill-in-the-middle code completion as uses. It supports English, German, Spanish, French, Japanese, Portuguese, Arabic, Czech, Italian, Korean, Dutch and Chinese, and can be fine-tuned for other languages. The weights are published on Hugging Face and run with the Transformers library. IBM notes that performance in other languages may trail English and that the model can still produce inaccurate, biased or unsafe output, so it recommends safety testing for each use.

Granite-4.1-30B is the largest instruct model in IBM's Granite 4.1 family, released on 29 April 2026 under the Apache 2.0 licence. It is a dense decoder-only transformer with about 30 billion parameters and a 128K-token context length, fine-tuned from Granite-4.1-30B-Base on permissively licensed open instruction datasets, IBM synthetic data and a small set of human-curated data. IBM's post-training combined supervised fine-tuning with reinforcement learning to improve tool calling, instruction following and chat. It is meant as a base for business assistants and tool-using agents, with listed uses including summarisation, classification and extraction, question answering, retrieval-augmented generation, code tasks, function calling, multilingual dialogue and fill-in-the-middle code completion. It supports English, German, Spanish, French, Japanese, Portuguese, Arabic, Czech, Italian, Korean, Dutch and Chinese, and can be fine-tuned for other languages. The weights are on Hugging Face for use with Transformers. IBM warns that output can still be inaccurate, biased or unsafe and suggests pairing it with Granite Guardian.

Granite Embedding 311M Multilingual R2 is an open text-embedding model from IBM, released on 29 April 2026 under the Apache 2.0 licence. It turns queries, passages, documents and code into 768-dimensional vectors for search, retrieval and similarity, with a context length of up to 32,768 tokens. Built on the ModernBERT architecture, it covers more than 200 languages, with stronger retrieval training for 52 languages and for code in Python, Go, Java, JavaScript, PHP, Ruby, SQL, C and C++, including cross-language retrieval. Embeddings can be shortened to 512, 384, 256 or 128 dimensions to save storage with a modest loss in quality. IBM reports a score of 65.2 on the multilingual MTEB retrieval benchmark, 13 points above the earlier 278M model it replaces. It works with Sentence Transformers and Transformers, ships ONNX and OpenVINO versions, and can be served through vLLM or llama.cpp. IBM says all training data is under permissive licences and passed its data clearance review, and notes that low-resource languages may retrieve less well. A smaller 97M sibling suits latency-sensitive use.

Granite Guardian 3.3 8B is an open model from IBM Research, released on 1 August 2025 under the Apache 2.0 licence, that judges whether the prompts sent to an LLM system and the responses it returns meet set criteria. It comes with built-in criteria for general harm, social bias, jailbreak attempts, violence, profanity, sexual content, unethical behaviour, harm engagement and evasiveness, plus checks for hallucination in retrieval-augmented generation (context relevance, groundedness and answer relevance) and for faulty function calls in agent workflows. Teams can also supply their own criteria in plain language. It is a hybrid thinking model: in thinking mode it gives a reasoning trace with its yes or no verdict, and in non-thinking mode it returns only the verdict. IBM says it must be used only in this scoring mode, that it is trained and tested on English only, and that its reasoning traces are not guaranteed accurate. The 8B size suits model assessment, monitoring and spot checks rather than high-throughput guardrails.

Granite Vision 4.1 4B is a compact vision-language model from IBM Research, released on 29 April 2026 under the Apache 2.0 licence, built for pulling structured data out of document images. It converts charts to CSV, summaries or Python code that redraws the chart, extracts tables with complex layouts to JSON, HTML or OTSL, and extracts named fields such as invoice dates or order numbers into JSON against a schema supplied by the user. Short task tags in the prompt switch between these jobs. It also keeps the general image-description abilities of Granite Vision 4.0. The model pairs a SigLIP2 vision encoder with a 3B Granite 4.1 language model, about 4 billion parameters in total. IBM reports 94.2% exact-match accuracy on the VAREX field-extraction benchmark. It runs with Transformers, vLLM and MLX on Apple silicon, and plugs into IBM's open-source Docling document pipeline. IBM notes it takes English instructions only, may do worse on documents in other languages and on open-ended visual tasks, and that its output should be checked before use in automated pipelines.

IBM Concert Operate, formerly IBM Cloud Pak for AIOps, is an IT operations product being brought onto the IBM Concert platform to give a single operational layer across applications, infrastructure and networks. It ingests and processes events in real time, then correlates, groups and deduplicates alerts so teams see fewer, more actionable incidents. Full-stack observability maps topology and dependencies, helping operators understand how an incident cascades and what its business impact is. Fault localisation helps identify probable cause and the blast radius across dependent services, and agentic AI can run iterative investigation steps using built-in incident and topology data, extended with third-party agents and diagnostics from existing tools. Shared context and integrated workflows are aimed at ITOps, NetOps and site reliability teams working the same incident, with guided remediation and automated actions to cut manual toil. IBM does not publish list pricing on the product page; buyers should contact IBM.

IBM Datacap is document capture software that scans, recognises, classifies and extracts data from business documents, and is a capability of IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation. It takes input from scanners, fax, email, PDFs and other digital files, application images and mobile devices, and uses natural language processing, text analytics and machine learning to classify and pull data from unstructured or highly variable documents that template-based capture handles poorly. Mobile capture lets staff photograph and validate documents at the point of contact. Role-based redaction can automatically hide sensitive fields depending on who requests a document. Captured data and documents can be exported to IBM and third-party content repositories and business applications, and a Datacap MetaBot connects it to Automation Anywhere robotic process automation. As of 2026 IBM supports Datacap 9.1.10 and 9.1.9 and asks customers to stay on the latest interim fix. A hosted Datacap on Cloud service is also offered. Pricing is by quote.

IBM Guardium Discover and Classify finds and classifies sensitive structured and unstructured data across on-premises, cloud and mainframe environments. Continuous scanning discovers repositories and metadata automatically, and machine learning can be trained to recognise which files hold sensitive data, so one product covers data types regardless of where or how they are stored. Typical uses include handling data subject access requests (DSARs) under privacy regulations, discovering and classifying mainframe VSAM datasets, pointing data protection controls at the right data, and reducing attack surface by flagging duplicated, unused or no-longer-needed records. It also adds business context to SIEM and SOAR tools, showing where exposed data sits and how sensitive it is, and extends data loss prevention with continuous discovery, analysis and lineage. An integration with OneTrust supports privacy data mapping and DSAR fulfilment. Pricing is based on managed virtual servers for structured data and terabytes for unstructured data, and varies with the number of data sources; IBM quotes on request.

IBM OpenPages is a governance, risk and compliance (GRC) platform that brings risk, compliance and audit work into one integrated system, deployable on any cloud or on-premises. It is modular, so organisations switch on only the components they need: business continuity, data privacy, regulatory compliance, third-party risk, internal audit, IT governance, model risk governance, operational risk and policy management, all running in one environment. The GRC Canvas gives teams an interactive workspace to model processes, risks and controls against live data and spot gaps. Embedded AI helps with classification and issue creation, and an API-based design lets customers plug in watsonx.ai or their own models. An OpenPages MCP Server lets governed AI agents create, query and update GRC objects. Workflows, dashboards and views are configured without custom code, and open integrations export GRC data to BI tools and data platforms for traceability and audit readiness. IBM uses OpenPages internally for its own privacy and responsible technology programme. Pricing is through IBM.

IBM Planning Analytics is an enterprise planning, budgeting and forecasting platform powered by the IBM TM1 engine, aimed at finance and operational planning teams who need a governed alternative to disconnected spreadsheets. It unifies planning across financial planning and analysis (P&L, balance sheet and cash flow), supply chain, sales, workforce, IT, marketing and ESG/sustainability performance, with Planning Analytics Workspace for consolidation and analysis and an Excel add-in (PAfE) that keeps familiar spreadsheets while reading live TM1 data. AI features on IBM's page include demand forecasting inside the product and a Planning Analytics Agent that summarises drivers, trends and confidence ranges. Integrations include a SAP connector for BW, S/4HANA and HANA Cloud via OData, and watsonx Orchestrate for natural-language planning tasks. UK references include the Ministry of Defence Services using it for shared finance, HR and procurement planning. SaaS plans are listed with memory and user tiers; pricing estimates are available on IBM's page.

IBM SPSS Modeler is a visual data science and machine learning tool for preparing data, building predictive models and deploying them into operational workflows. Analysts work in drag-and-drop analysis streams rather than writing every step by hand: automatic data preparation transforms fields into formats suited to modelling, a graphics engine supports charts for exploring patterns, and the product covers algorithms such as decision trees, neural networks and regression. Models can be saved and deployed alongside frameworks such as Scikit-learn and TensorFlow, and Modeler integrates with R, Python, Spark and Hadoop for open-source and big-data workloads. Typical uses on IBM's product page include demand forecasting and price optimisation, anomaly detection and segmentation, clinical prediction, and customer behaviour and churn analysis. IBM cites Banca Alpi Marittime using SPSS Modeler technology in a credit scorecard app that evaluates applicants' financial information. Pricing is published as customisable plans on IBM's page.

What the vendor’s website says · supplier-provided, not verified evidence

IBM watsonx Assistant is IBM's enterprise conversational AI for building chatbots and voice agents that answer customers across web, messaging, phone and other channels. IBM has renamed and upgraded the offering into watsonx Orchestrate: the Cloud catalog lists watsonx Orchestrate (formerly Assistant), keeping assistant building while adding agentic capabilities and a control plane. Existing dialogs, actions, extensions and settings remain active. Builders use an actions-based designer, deploy embeddable web chat and other channel integrations, hand off to live agents, and refine content with conversation analytics. Generative features include conversational search over enterprise knowledge (for example Elasticsearch or Milvus) and configurable large language models. The former watsonx Assistant marketing URL now redirects to the watsonx Orchestrate product page; trial and paid Orchestrate plans apply.

Why complete verification

Completing verification can improve the quality of the public evidence available on this supplier profile. Useful verified information can deepen the profile and make public questions about the named product more answerable. It does not buy directory ranking, review stars, a higher Assurance Score, a favourable certificate outcome, or a guaranteed Google ranking.

Payment remains independent from rankings and assessment outcomes. Start an assessment · Methodology
